The Grammy’s had us glued to all formats of social media to get our fashion fix last Sunday night. Our eye’s scrutinizing each celebrity as they flowed from their flashy cars and strutted down the red carpet, like somebody had split a packet of fashionista allsorts!
Thankfully this year most of the looks are very easy to recreate in salon giving us plenty of inspiration. A lot of A-Listers opted for a polished well groomed natural look.
I have to start with Kim Kardashian West as I’ve already had clients requesting this style. Kim has chopped her locks to rest on her shoulders with long layers and topped with a long side fringe. Her colour was kept dark and glossy with a tosseled effect through the ends. This haircut is great for clients that have long hair but want a change!
Taylor Swift looked absolutely flawless. She continues to make “the lob” extremely popular, her natural Blonde mixture of shades is to dye for!
Jessie J looked very elegant with her sleeked back bob, gelled back in a side parting, a fantastic chic way to wear your classic bob for a cocktail party ect.
Gwen Stefani, who must sleep in a time machine, looked 10 years younger, with her baby Blonde hair in a playful updo.
Katy Perry was feeling cheeky also. Her Lavender locks were fresh and funky in a tosseled for texture bob, her dark roots finished an uber cool image.
Madonna’s hair was pin curled under her headpiece, this was later unpinned to reveal cascading curls for her on stage performance. This hair change is great if your looking for two looks on the same night, weddings ect, or you need the curl to last for a fun night out!
Miley Cyrus slicked back her pixie cut, while Beyonce played it very safe. Her long sun kissed tresses were lightly waved down her back, a popular look for many girls on a Saturday night!
The boy’s kept it classic, and very on trend with many sporting the Pompadour look, short back and sides with the top blow-dried back but to the side like Grammy grabber Sam Smith. Ed Sheeran’s rusty roof was kept dishevelled and natural, all beards were tidy and well groomed.
