This week I have been privileged to style the hair for the sneak preview fashion show for ‘Buy my dress Tramore’. The show took place last Thursday at The Grand Hotel, and what a show it was as all the models were local ladies giving the audience a glimpse of what to expect at the charity dress sale, on this Saturday 26th from 11am to 5pm again at the Grand Hotel.
This charity dress sale is not to be missed, a lot of the items on the catwalk still have tags on them, while some have been donated by celebrities. All the proceeds of the sale will go to the care and support for families and parents of Down syndrome. It’s part of Irelands largest one day charity dress sale. There will be seven different locations around the country where you can purchase dresses priced between €10 to €50.
When my good friend Tara Kelly asked me to get involved, I was only too delighted to support such a worthy cause. The atmosphere backstage was electric as it was a first for some of the ladies modeling, but the nerves all turned to humour and a great night was had by all. Buy My Dress Tramore is in association with Redlane boutique in Tramore and Waterford, you can drop off any unwanted dresses to both stores where you will receive a Karma voucher worth €5.
